ILDIKO HAMMOND

Ildiko is a distinguished contemporary Australian painter, specializing predominantly in portraiture. Born and raised in Sydney to Hungarian parents, she currently conducts her artistic endeavors in Lismore, Australia. Ildiko has maintained a professional status in the art world since her graduation in 1992 from the esteemed National Arts School in Sydney.

Her artistic achievements include being a Selected Finalist in the Eutick Memorial Still Life Award (EMSLA), securing a place as a finalist in the Hurford Hardwood Portrait Prize 2018, and attaining the position of a selected Semi-Finalist in the Doug Moran National Portrait Prize in 2019.

Notably, the zenith of Ildiko's career was achieved through her recognition as a Selected Finalist in the esteemed Portia Geach Memorial Art Award, colloquially referred to as the "Female Archibald Prize," for three consecutive years 2018, 2019, and 2020.
